Introduction to Yoga Course
Yoga helps us to live better for longer.
Whatever your age, this course will help you learn how to support your evolving body using yoga.
Feel vibrant and alive. Gain and maintain mobility. Get the freedom to move the way you want and to be able to participate without pain or soreness in life's activities. Build deep core strength for better balance and fluidity of movement. Improve total body awareness. Stand taller and with more ease. Help prevent and counteract osteoporosis and arthritis.
This course does not focus on extreme flexibility. Its goal is to support each joint in its normal range of motion, so you can keep gardening, playing with your children or grandchildren, running, hiking, golfing or whatever else brings you joy.
What you'll learn: How to practice basic yoga poses using safe and supportive alignment, how to modify any yoga practice to fit your body, how to destress using the breath, the foundations of yoga philosophy and how to begin a home practice.
